What is Space Waves?
Space Waves is a browser rhythm-runner that focuses entirely on the iconic wave mechanic. Instead of juggling multiple forms, you manage a sleek ship that pivots between up and down diagonals whenever you hold or release the input, carving clean lines through cosmic tunnels.
Many stages mirror your ship, spawning a second craft that echoes your movements across a parallel lane. Obstacles appear on both lanes simultaneously, so every micro-adjustment must keep both ships safe, forcing you to visualize the whole screen instead of a single flightpath.
As you advance, gravity wells, speed portals, and shrinking corridors compress your reaction window. Neon grids pulse to the soundtrack, giving subtle rhythm cues for when to tap, hold, or feather the input to stay aligned with the beat.

Why Space Waves Feels Fresh
- Wave-only gameplay that highlights pure tap-and-hold precision
- Dual-lane mirror mode where linked ships share the same input timing
- Reactive synth soundtrack that signals when to invert your angle
- Speed, mini, and gravity portals that remap your ship size and control sensitivity on the fly
- Endless survival playlist plus curated gauntlets with checkpoint practice rooms
- In-game ghost runs that show your previous attempt for immediate comparison
How to Play Space Waves
- Tap, click, or press space/ W to send the ship upward diagonally; release to glide downward.
- Feather quick taps to level out mid-lane and thread narrow tunnels.
- During mirror sections, remember your input moves both ships identically, so anticipate hazards on each side.
- Hold steady when speed portals accelerate the scroll and watch for mini portals that shrink your hitbox.
